What's the best way to salt for union starting?

Salting is a tatic used by IWW and KOL for starting unions throughout the 20th century, and it was effectively used to start unions at starbucks recently.

Another resource for using salting tatic's in order to create stronger labor movements and have more say in your workplace.

I'm in the IWW and Teamsters, I've always been disappointed in how Teamsters operates. Its a large general union but it's run by non-workers and sell outs and the people at every level get huge bonuses which remove them from the class struggle, effectively neutralizing the whole thing. I think a real problem right now is getting a wildcat strike going. UPS Teamsters voted for a strike over 90% last summer, and the union denied the strike. What is the praxis in this case

Couldn't they strike without the union? Or would that be "illegal" and lead to arrests?

Thats's just disappointing, How would you get rid of bad union members who don't have the workers best interest?

That would be illegal, and the company would be legally allowed to fire everybody and the union would be fined. Wildcat strikes are extremely difficult to get away with but are extremely important these days so support them when possible.

How are the unions structured? How can membership vote overwhelmingly for a strike and simply get rejected? Are the worker's representatives in the union voted on? Can they not at least remove them and put in somebody who would commit to the wishes of membership?

We have to support random strikes. They can instill a lot of fear into [porky] if we can all support them as a unified group. Sectarian movements restrict us though.

Not only that, but they show workers that they have power. That is why governments usually make deals pretty fast with the unions, because the government looks weak. It sends a powerful message when some public transportation workers decide not to come into work and the government is brought to the negotiating table and listens to demands.
